Power Play By Tony Kent.

Say hello to your new Lee Childs! Your new crime thriller series is here with new author Tony Kent. As you can probably tell I am already hooked on this series and I have only actually read one of the books! The previous two have been added to my TBR pile!

Synopsis:

A controversial US presidential candidate Dale Victor is killed in a plane explosion along with hundreds of other passengers, to begin with it looks like a typical terrorist attack but when criminal barrister Michael Devlin and intelligence agent Joe Dempsey start to investigate all the evidence seems to point in the same direction. The US government!

Now someone seems to be determined to stop Devlin and Dempsey from discovering the truth! Together they must find a way to prove who's pulling the strings, and free the White House from the deadly grip that has taken hold of power.

I don't think I personally know a single person who would read that synophis and not leave with that book. Crime thriller novels are extremely popular and it is easy to understand why. This does mean that if you are entering that category of writing you are in for a challenge. Personally I think that Tony Kent has proved he knows what he is doing.

He is also helped by being a criminal barrister so he really knows and understands the subject he is projecting in his novels,

I found the way the novel was structured meant you got to see all the areas of the plot jumping from different characters and their conversations and involvement meaning you can really get stuck in. Your forever thinking you know what will happen and then all of a sudden Kent makes a sudden turn and your back to working it out again, Kent continuously keeps you on your toes.

If you're looking for a new crime thriller author then make sure you get yourself Power Play by Tony Kent

I would rate this book a 4.5/5. Let me know what you think when you read but I recommend that you bring it to the top of your TBR pile!
